Here is a wonderful picture that shows the progress and hopes of our Loyola Jesuit Secondary School (LJSS) in Kasungu, Malawi!

In one of the recently finished classrooms, Fr. Alojz Podgrajsek, S.J., Project Director for LJSS, set up some of the new desks and chairs for a real classroom look.  Then he invited young women and men from the nearby parish school, St. Joseph’s Primary School, to be the first occupants.

You can see from the smiling faces how much they are enjoying the opportunity!

And you might read their thoughts: “Will I be sitting here for real next September 2015 when enrolment opens for this wonderful school?”

Please help make it possible that some of these students can actually attend our fine new Jesuit school.  Your contributions can assist us to finish the classrooms, provide the dormitories, stock the library, prepare the kitchen, and complete so many other things that will make a dream become a reality.

We will aim to provide quality education in a country of immense educational need.  Fewer than 35% of the youth (30% of the girls) do attend secondary school in Malawi.

LJSS can’t educate them all, but at least we can make a significant contribution – with your help!  Please go http://loyola-malawi.org/?page_id=84  — the “Support Us” button!
