PHOTOS OF PROGRESS AND HOPES
No new blogs recently posted on our website certainly has not meant no new action on our building site!
The campus of Loyola Jesuit Secondary School (LJSS) continues to be very busy, as these few photos can show you. As the September 2015 opening date approaches very soon, plenty of business goes on in Kasungu.
Alojz Podgrajsek, S.J., our Project Manager, oversees the construction activities and manages the accounts. Simon Makuru, S.J., our Head Teacher, prepares the educational activities and supervises our local school garden.
Workers put final touches in kitchen to prepare for installation of ovens, cookers and other utensils necessary to eventual provide daily meals for over 500 hungry students.
Dining hall is ready for tables and benches and eager students.
Soil based bricks manufactured on site by our workers
Early construction begins for Phase Two classrooms.
School garden has good fields of maize that will provide the staple of Malawi diets: nshima.
Encouraging, isn’t it? Thanks to our many friends who are donors for LJSS, we are moving forward.
